Hello, subscribers, and thanks so much for subscribing! (There are 8 people who are “paid” and all I can say is, I never set up any monetization, and there is no paid content! I’m also not seeing any money, so I hope you’re not paying anything.)
I have two possibilities for the next post, and both are done already. Which one do you want to see first? (If you care, that is)
“In Larry's Kingdom (Part 1)” the first of two posts about my time at Oracle, 1991-98. An encounter with the late Bob Miner, leading a standards effort with every major database company, and whether Oracle was really as much of a sweatshop as everyone says.
“Public Speaking For Engineers” — my own unique take (I hope) about public speaking. I eschew all that “hand gestures, eye contact, and filler words” Toastmasters stuff you’ll read everywhere, and get to the essence of what you should be thinking about when you’re up there, given that you can only focus on one thing.
If no one cares, it’ll be the public speaking one.
Update 11/29: Well, it appears you do care! 9 of you, anyway. The posts on Oracle come first (there are two). Then public speaking. Thanks everyone.
