You brought joy to a group. In this case, work colleagues. Bravo.

We actually did something similar at college. The 2 movies I recall are:

1. Jimmy Cliff ( the Harder they come ). Available on Google Play - no pun intended lol

2. Kentucky Fried Movie

Early 1970s.

Like many of your choices - flicks the group wouldn't have seen, otherwise.

Oh, thank you, John. "The Harder They Come" IS a movie we would have shown, had we ever thought of it. I don't remember it even coming up. Maybe Swank didn't have it?

Hoop Dreams was interesting because it was the first documentary I've ever seen, and it was screened on PBS shortly after it was released, which allowed swear words. It blew my mind that a movie genre existed that it could be filmed as it was occurring, although I was in grade school at the time, so I didn't assume that then. Also, a friend of mine went to St. Joseph H.S. for a few years shortly after that, so it felt close to home and strange that they were filming it. The first thing I noticed was that it didn't seem to have a happy ending, and I was constantly puzzled at the format.

we didn't show that only because it was so long. People would get out after the last shuttle bus.

I watched _After Life_ on the strength of this post. What a terrible waste of time. The premise is very thin; a ten page short story could exhaust it. Save yourself two hours and skip it.

Anurag A and Mike Ho were always a interesting pair.
