Today’s Monday, and of course you’re dying to know: where’s your post today?
Well, I now have two opinions from people I respect that I should publish every other week, not every week. Last Monday was Public Speaking for Engineers, which I got some feedback from one of you: back in the day, his manager advised him thus:
Next I get an assignment to teach database fundamentals. <redacted>’s advice is to talk louder and faster until i master the materials. Yikes.
Bad advice.
Anyhow, I think the “every other week” advice is sound, because if I wrote something every week, I’d run out of good material and have to start publishing “what life is like these days” crap, like everyone else does. You don’t want that, do you? When I have something to say that I think is interesting, I’ll say it.
So far, I have five articles on my actual work at Google (not the movies and author talks),
and there will be one more. So I think we’re set for a while.
