I see a bunch of new subscribers, and even though I’m not charging anything, it’s still very much appreciated. Thank you! I’ve been posting something every other Monday, and while it would be nice to do it more often, I don’t want to get boring and churn out crap just because it’s deadline time.
I did work at Google for 11 1/2 years, and those have been the subject of the last four posts. I have a couple more of those all done or very close to it. I guess you liked those?
What else would you like to hear about? I also have one all done on fear and risk-taking, where I take a somewhat different tack than most of what you’ll read.
If you look through my list of other posts, they span a goodly part of my life, in computing and even before I got into that. The way I look at it, there are zillions of Substack channels about people’s lives, romantic and otherwise; political views; and their struggles to establish an identity as a <fill in the blank>. Those are boring and I don’t want to write yet another one.
